The preschoolers will be making Thanksgiving placemats for the residents at the Meridian retirement community.
Mrs. Brown’s Pre-Kindergarten

The Gabriel House Project is an outreach ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver committed to helping pregnant women and families with young children in need.
Mrs. O’Toole’s Kindergarten
Students in Mrs. O’Toole’s class will be making crafts and cards to send to veterans at the VFW as a "thank you" for their service on Veteran's Day.
Ms. Ketter's Kindergarten
Ms. Ketter’s class will be picking trash up around the school property on September 21 to help welcome the fall season, and on October 12 paired with an outdoor science lesson.
Mrs. Rodriguez’ First Grade
As followers of Jesus, 1st grade will demonstrate care and concern for those less fortunate by collecting gently used, clean coats. The coats will be donated to Coats for Colorado and distributed to over 120 Colorado charities.
Mrs. Trujillo’s Second Grade
The 2nd grade students support the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor at Mullen Home. Mullen Home welcomes in the elderly, who are cared for as family in a loving environment. The wisdom of age is celebrated and appreciated. In November, we will create Thanksgiving placemats with a personal message for each resident. We offer prayers for the elderly while we are making them.
Miss Weaver’s Third Grade
This Fall, in science, 3rd Grade will be discussing animals, their interactions with the environment, and endangered and extinct species. For their Stewardship Project, they are helping Foothills Animal Shelter, an organization in Jefferson County with an open-door policy; meaning they never turn away an animal in need. During the course of a year, Foothills is a temporary home to over 9,200 cats, dogs, and other critters. Following in the footsteps of our Lord, 3rd Grade wishes to help these pets in need, by asking for donations of old t-shirts, scraps of fabric, and gently used pillows. These supplies are used to make t-shirt toys, fabric blankets, and cat beds for animals waiting to find their forever home.
Ms. Moeder’s Fourth Grade
For our fall stewardship project, 4th grade will be assisting the Altar and Rosary society of Our Lady of Fatima Parish by cleaning the church bimonthly. We will also be working with the residents of the Meridian with STEM activities and sharing a fall craft in October.
Mrs. Fox & Mrs. Sandusky’s Fifth & Sixth Grades
The 5th and 6th grade classes will hold a school-wide diaper drive Nov 1 to Dec 1. We will put boxes around the school to collect diapers. The 5th and 6th grade will then take the diapers to the Gabriel House.
Mrs. Riviello’s Seventh Grade
Create Thanksgiving cards and placemats for the residents at the Little Sisters of The Poor Mullen Home. Arrange a possible visit to do a craft with the residents. Collect Kleenex for them.
Ms. Theisen’s Seventh Grade
Ms. Theisen’s class will be writing letters of encouragement to seminarians within the Archdiocese, in an effort to achieve the following:
To connect students with the religious life in a tangible manner.
To allow students to see religious fervor in young adults.
To lift up and help seminarians in their vocation through prayer and friendship.
Mrs. Koch’s Eighth Grade
The 8th graders will be practicing Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy for stewardship this year. This first semester, we are helping to feed the hungry through our work at Food Bank of the Rockies in early January, and through the Turkey Drive on November 16, prior to Thanksgiving. We are going to Art for the Nations, which is helping bridge the language gap with art for children they meet - we decorate and pack art bags for people to use with children in foreign countries, such as missionaries or Habitat for Humanity. Eighth grade is also having a sock drive; we will be donating the socks to Samaritan House.
Mrs. Lamb’s Technology Elective
Students in the fall Tech elective will be immersing themselves into the Catholic Social Teachings. Students will individually choose one of the seven principles of CST and use technology to create a fund raiser and awareness project based upon that principle. This class is intended to help the students gain knowledge of the social justice needs in our world, as well as help them realize the impact they can have in bringing about God’s commandment to “Love one another, as I have loved you.” -John 15:12
