Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School follows the curriculum guidelines put forth by the Archdiocese of Denver Office of Catholic Schools. In order to keep the guidelines as current as possible, they are reviewed on a rotating basis by an evaluation committee consisting of teachers, principals and/or other curriculum experts. See the ArchDen curriculum guidelines here.
Our curriculum gives students a solid academic foundation and prepares them for high school by providing sequenced learning in the areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. Religion is taught daily, and students attend weekly Mass. Physical education, Spanish, art, music, technology, and library/media skills are also taught to all students.
Archdiocese of Denver Catholic School students, teachers, and schools are held to a high standard of continuous improvement by a variety of assessment tools, agencies, and internal inspection. Our schools do not use the state Common Core standards. The Office of Catholic School has created an FAQ on the use of Common Core in our schools.
