Our Lady of Fatima is a Catholic Community that educates children to become followers of Jesus Christ, outstanding leaders, and stewards of our Christian faith.
We are dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment that enriches our students’ lives through an academically challenging and structured curriculum. Our high expectations of our students are equal to our high expectations of our teachers. These expectations include appropriate behavior, dress, and compliance with the character values of respect, responsibility, self-control, honesty, compassion, generosity, reverence, tolerance, and forgiveness.
We expect and promote a constant relationship with parents, believing this unity to be important to the proper education of all students.
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School follows the curriculum guidelines put forth by the Archdiocese of Denver Office of Catholic Schools. In order to keep the guidelines as current as possible, they are reviewed on a rotating basis by an evaluation committee consisting of teachers, principals and/or other curriculum experts.
Our curriculum gives students a solid academic foundation and prepares them for high school by providing sequenced learning in the areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. Religion is taught daily, and students attend weekly Mass. Physical education, Spanish, art, music, technology, and library/media skills are also taught to all students.
Archdiocese of Denver Catholic School students, teachers, and schools are held to a high standard of continuous improvement by a variety of assessment tools, agencies, and internal inspection. Our schools do not use the state Common Core standards. The Office of Catholic School has created an FAQ on the use of Common Core in our schools.
21st century technology is an important complement to the education at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School. In addition to a technology lab with Chromebases, Fatima also uses SMART televisions, Google Classroom, and IXL for personalized immersive learning experiences.
Students are taught grade appropriate benchmarks from the Archdiocesan Technology Standards, proper keyboarding, and reading comprehension skills with STAR Reading and Accelerated Reader.
