News from the PTT

Dear Fatima Families,
We are planning on some new fundraisers and events for the 2009-2010 school year and we wanted to let you know in advance so that everyone can plan ahead. Below is the tentative schedule. Please keep in mind some dates may change slightly and this reflects both fundraisers and community events.

2009-2010 Parent Teacher Team Events & Fundraisers

September 2009

• 1st - World's Finest Chocolate Sale Kickoff**

October 2009

• Sundancer Raffle
• White Fence Farm

November 2009

• 14th - Barnes and Noble Day (proceeds go to the OLF Library)

December 2009

• Poinsettia Sale (proceeds go to 8th Grade Graduation)
• Ladies' Christmas Luncheon

February 2010

• Spaghetti Dinner (proceeds go to 8th Grade Graduation)

March 2010

• Lily Sale
• 22nd - Cookie Dough Sale Kickoff**

April 2010

• Ben & Jerry's Night

May 2010

• Spring Fling
• Golf Tournament

** Major Fundraiser

We would also like to let you know of a new option to opt out of the 2 major fundraisers. If you would prefer not to participate in the candy and cookie dough sales there is an option to contribute $100 per family. The remaining events may have a small fundraising component but are also community events and we need everyone's participation to make them successful. If you would like to use this option a form will be available at the Ice Cream Social. All opt out forms are due to the office by September 11, 2009.

Some of the money we raise funds items like the exterior message board, field trips, outdoor lab and teacher continuing education.

We are very excited about the new events coming up next year.
