Spelling Bee Club

The Spelling Bee Team meets once a week with an emphasis on a specific set of words of origin. All of our teachers are at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, and may be contacted at (303) 233-2500 or via Fast Direct.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School participates in both divisions of the Archdiocesan Spelling Bee Program. There is the Intermediate Spelling Bee for students in the 4th and 5th Grades, with the Archdiocesan Bee held each February.

Students who place in the top five of the Intermediate Bee may go on to participate in the Advanced Spelling Bee. The Advanced Spelling Bee is for students in the 6th-8th grades, and the Advanced Archdiocesan Bee will be held on January 28th.

Students placing in the Advanced Bee at the Archdiocesan level have an opportunity to participate in the Rocky Mountain Regional Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Winners of the Scripps Regional bee will then go on to participate in the Washington, D.C. National Spelling Bee held in May.
