Junior Great Books

Junior Great Books is offered to grades 5-8. 

Junior Great Books meetings take place at Shrine of Saint Anne School on Monday nights from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Students will attend about 10 of these meetings from October to March. 

Junior Great Books has been around since 1947 to challenge students to read deeper, talk more effectively, think independently, listen better, and to challenge others’ ideas.  This is done by students reading interesting books, discussing their ideas, and challenging one another’s ideas through the Socratic method of questioning.   Junior Great Books is a great experience for all students.
